Mail setup using Thunderbird

*Thunderbird email client Version 78.3.0 used for demonstration

1. Load Mozilla Thunderbird. Click on Local Folders > Email


2. Next enter your name as you’d like it to show for recipients > Your full email address > Email account password > Select Remember password > Select Configure manually.


3. Next you will either enter the details on the POP3, or IMAP Account settings tabs. The details you will use are below:
IMAP Account Settings:
  • Incoming mail
    - Server: mail.exampledomain.tld
    - Port: (993)
    - Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    - Authentication: Normal Password
    - Username: your email address you entered above
  • Outgoing mail
    - Server: mail.exampledomain.tld
    - Port: 465 or 587 or 25
    - Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    - Authentication: Normal Password
    - Username: your email address you entered above
Pop Account Settings:
  • Incoming mail
    - Server: mail.exampledomain.tld
    - Port: (995)
    - Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    - Authentication: Normal Password
    - Username: your email address you entered above
  • Outgoing mail
    - Server: mail.exampledomain.tld
    - Port: 465 or 587 or 25
    - Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS
    - Authentication: Normal Password
    - Username: your email address you entered above




4. You may need to select Re-test, then Done. After selecting Done your email inbox will be setup:
